Man Power:                 1 JRF

Tenure:                        2 Years

Objectives

i.                   Numerical simulation studies  to find the lake circulation and its changes due to various modifications in terms of interactions with the sea

ii.                  Mathematical modelling of phytoplankton production in Chilka lagoon and to study the distribution of nutrients and chlorophyll in space and time.

Benefits:

  1. Statistical, numerical models, observed and satellite data and the numerical model will help to predict the future lagoon environment in a cost effective manner.
  2. Various data generated in the project would immensely help the future investigators, managers for sustainable development of the lagoon eco-system.
